How to Fit Digital Art on Your Phone Without Losing the Composition

Fit digital art to your phone without losing the subject. Compare portrait dimensions, preview the crop, and choose full-image fit or screen fill.

Start with the portrait edition

A phone display and an artwork do not always share the same proportions. AiiU portrait JPEG downloads are 3840 pixels tall, but their widths vary. Read the dimensions on the artwork or product page rather than assuming every file is 9:16.

For example, Lazy Cat has a 2161 × 3840 portrait edition. Confetti Bloom is 2160 × 3840. The Canopy Café is 2152 × 3840. The picture below is a smaller web preview; purchased JPEGs retain the listed download dimensions.

Choose what matters: the whole composition or a full screen

Fit keeps the entire artwork visible and may leave space around it. Fill covers the display and crops parts of the image when the proportions differ. Stretching changes the shapes; preserve the image proportions instead.

On a taller phone, filling the screen with a wider portrait image can trim its left and right edges. Before accepting a wallpaper crop, check the cat's face, the outer petals, and any detail near the edges. Leave room for the clock, notifications and app icons.

Preview before buying

  1. Open the Lazy Cat screen preview.
  2. Choose Phone, then compare Fill screen with Show full artwork.
  3. Repeat with a floral composition or a botanical café scene.
  4. Check the source dimensions and license on the product page.

The preview is a visual comparison, not an exact simulation of your phone. Wallpaper controls, automatic zoom and cropping vary by device and operating system. Use your phone's own preview to make the final adjustment.

One artwork or a collection?

A personal single artwork includes both portrait and landscape JPEG editions for you and your household. A Phone Pack includes portrait editions from one collection. These are digital downloads, with no physical item and no commercial use or file redistribution.

Current prices appear on the linked product pages. Start with art for phone screens or read the TV screen-fit guide to use the landscape edition on a larger display.
